On top of our termly Student Council Pow Wows, most of our trainings are on-job trainings, whereby Student Councillors learn as they serve and get involved in various school events (e.g. Teachers’ Day, Sec One Orientation Camp, Student Leaders Investiture, etc.).

The Student Council also organises specific trainings to level the leadership competencies of our Student Councillors – Public Speaking Skills, Facilitation Skills, and Project Management Skills.
Beyond being able to deepen their leadership competencies through organising school-based projects and events, our Student Councillors are involved in Community Outreach and Service to the community too. Our Sec 2 Students Councillors take part in the KidsREAD programme initiated by the National Library Bord, in collaboration with MOE. This programme hopes to promote the love of reading and cultivate good reading habits among young Singaporeans, specifically children from less privileged families. The Councillors step out of their comfort zones to reach out to Primary School children, engaging them through storybooks and interactive activities.
In addition, selected Student Councillors get a chance to participate in Leadership programmes and seminars in other schools, such as Y.LEAD organized by River Valley High School, and Temasek Leadership Showdown, organized by Temasek Junior College. Through these programmes, Student Councillors get to network, interact, and learn the best practices of Student Leaders from different schools.
